Daniela In Israel

About

Daniela

The short version: I have been the newcomer in three countries, and I work every day in the one where you are about to become one.

Where I come from

I am French by origin. I did my university studies in Israel. I spent most of my adult life in Brazil. Each of those was, at the time, somebody else's country.

What you learn arriving somewhere three times is not only the language. It is the paperwork, the pace at which things are actually done, and the unwritten part — the part nobody writes down because everyone local already knows it. That is the part my clients are missing, and it is the part that costs them money.

The painter

I paint. It is not a line included to make me interesting — it is why the renovation and furnishing service exists, and why I am willing to be judged on it.

Proportion, light, the colour a room will actually be at four in the afternoon in November: these are things I have spent years looking at properly. They are also exactly the things that get decided badly when a renovation is run from abroad by somebody who is not really looking.

Why that matters at the table

A property purchase in Israel has at least four parties who do not share a first language: you, the seller, the notary and the contractor. Most cross-border purchases lose something at every handover between them, and the losses are invisible until they are expensive.

I sit in the middle of all four and I need an interpreter for none of them. It sounds like a convenience. It is closer to the difference between understanding a contract and being told what it says.

How I work

Slowly at the beginning and quickly at the end. The early conversations are long on purpose, because a brief that is wrong at the start is expensive at the end.

Discretion is not a policy I adopted. It is the condition of the work. I will not publish what you bought, what you paid, or that you are a client at all — and you should be careful with anyone in this market who would.

What I will tell you

I will tell you when an apartment is wrong for you, when a price is wrong, and when the answer is to wait. I would rather lose a transaction than place a family badly in a country they have just arrived in — that mistake is not undone by a second transaction, and I would have to live next to it.

If that is the kind of representation you were looking for, write to me.

Next step

Tell me what you are looking for.

A first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Twenty minutes is usually enough for both of us to know whether I am the right person for your purchase.
